Sarah Shamash
Sarah Shamash is a Vancouver based media artist. Informed by cinema, her collaborative, process and interdisciplinary-based projects engage social and psycho geographies through innovative mapping practices that convey experiential knowledge. She studied film and media arts at Paris 8, University of Saint-Denis in France, completing two Master's degrees in Film and in Media Arts. Since the 2000s, she has been exhibiting her work in art venues and film festivals while pursuing her creative production at international artist residencies. She is a recipient of the city artist live/ work studio awards and a doctoral candidate at UBC's Interdisciplinary program.
